Our projects - 2021

RTCN Chrzelice, 189,50m

The year 2021 we opened with a guy ropes exchange in Chrzelice  near Opole, south of Poland. For the new guy ropes we used ropes with a diameter of 36mm.

Along with the exchange of guy ropes we installed new tensioners at foundations. They are longer and a have a bigger adjustment range than those used before. They are equipped with torsion fittings.

In addition, we developed the technical opinion in terms of influence of temperature on the size of pre-tensioning force. The entire work we performed on very freezing winter days.

In September we replaced the top antenna system on the TV mast in Suwałki. We installed a new 16-bay, 22-m-tall and approx. 9,5-ton TV antenna supplied by RFS.  Moreover, we installed a new HCA 300 feeder for the new antenna system.

Before installing the antenna system it was inevitable to reinforce the main mast and its foundations. We finalized the entire installation and the reinforcement in 6 weeks.

RCN Koszęcin, 111,15m

The next project we  accomplished in 2021 was a guy ropes exchange on a 111,15-meter-tall mast in Koszęcin  near Katowice, south of Poland. For the new guy ropes we used ropes with a diameter of 28mm.

Along with the exchange of guy ropes we installed new tensioners at foundations. They are longer and a have a bigger adjustment range than those used before. They are equipped with torsion fittings and to some extent enable an adjustment of a guy self-vibration.

FM/TV station in Tåsjö, Sweden, 324m

We have just worked in the north of Sweden in Tåsjö where in 2018 we erected a 293-m tall mast. In Spring 2021 we finalized the demolition of the adjacent 324-m tall mast. The distance between both masts is only 16 meters, which causes clashes at all levels of guy ropes.

This has been a unique project being a part of testing of all Swedish masts for their structural strength. We have been engaged as a trusted company, highly experienced in difficult projects in Scandinavia.

Demolition involved removing the antenna system consisting of 12 FM elements produced by Kathrein as well as dismantling the main feeder HCA 400 with its total length  ̴160 meters. Part of this project was also cutting out the relevant 21 lengths of  mast legs at five levels and selected sections of guy ropes to submit them for testing. These tests are crucial to diagnose the lifespan of the material, show all micro cracks resulting from fatigue loads. Therefore, it was important to carefully and precisely cut out and disassemble these sections so as not disturb the results.

Due to the effects of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the project was divided into two stages.

RTCN Suwałki, 232 m
